POWDER IN THE BACKCOUNTRY

Big C and I went up Ephraim Canyon to ski yesterday since it keeps snowing and what a fabulous choice it was. The day wasn't as sunny as I would have liked (understatement), but spring skiing just isn't bitter cold like it is in January or February. So, even though it snowed off and on all day, it was actually a good day.

This is Big C overlooking a beautiful vista. We hiked in a bit for our first run, and did a great little tree run. The powder was AMAZING! I haven't skied on snow like that for a long time. It was like skiing on clouds or pillows, pillows on clouds? Well, you get the idea.

Here I am 'tearing it up'- ha ha- on the 'Super Monster' (snowmobilers name for the hill). I got fresh tracks every run! SO FUN!! Best snow of the season- hands down!

This is me during our little snack break. Big C said I looked 'cute' in his skull cap, so he took a photo. It was a fun day and I am so glad I went up with him. He stayed and snow kited the rest of the afternoon after I went down. He's WAY more hard-core than I ever hope to be.
