MUSICAL INFLUENCE

I used to have quite a bit of influence on my kid's

choices in music. That is pretty much gone now

and the roles have been reversed. I really enjoy some

of the music they have introduced me to and I'm sure

I never would have found it if they hadn't. These are

some of my favs right now: (Double click on the

1. Fiction by Avenged Sevenfold: I HATE this

group- except for this song. A learned to play the

piano part off of You Tube and I have really learned

to like it. If you choose to listen to it, take my advice

and ignore the obnoxious lead singers and focus on

the piano all the way through. It's really cool.
2. Electric Feel by MGMT: I love this groovy song. It

never fails to make me want to dance. This reminds

me of D. He loves it too. Well, we all do. It's a favorite

at our house.
3. Die Alone by Ingrid Michaelson: This is from S.

She has played Ingrid a lot and I am definitely a fan

of everything I've heard of hers.
4. You and Your Heart by Jack Johnson: I was

actually a Jack Johnson fan before A, but he listens

to him WAY more than I do now. He can play pretty

much every song of his on the guitar too.
5. Crushcrushcrush by Paramore: I don't like every-

thing by this group, but there are some good ones that

have won me over. Misery Business and The Only

Exception are good too.
6. Rocketship by Shiny Toy Guns: This is a great

dance song, most of theirs are. I chose one of the

more mild ones, but I also love Ricochet and Le Disko

(Radio Edit!!).
7. Daylight by Matt and Kim: This is another D song

that we all like and is snappy and fun to listen to.

So, there you have it. I am having a great time being influenced by my kiddos.
