THE SAN RAFAEL IS SWELL

The lovely fall weather was calling to us and we decided to go on one last camping trip in the San Rafael Swell. We even convinced some friends to come with us (well, it wasn't very hard, they were excited) which always makes my kids happy. They'd much rather go if we're going with other people.
Big C climbed up a big tree and took a photo of our campsite that evening. Cool vantage point huh?

Our friend J, took this AMAZING photo of the full moon about to peek out from behind the mountain. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!

That night we gathered around the campfire, ate birthday cake, and listened to A make up songs on his guitar. I love nights like that...

The next morning the kids got up to deface a little public property. They had fun adding their names to the many already there on a bridge.

We also ate a yummy breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. I was rather happy about it, wasn't I.

Princesses P and K had a blast pushing each other on the swing. I am so glad the S family had their cameras because we had 3 between us and they were all out of battery power. So most of these photos are mooched.

Big C challenged himself by going hand over hand across the river.

Then we went biking out to the trailhead. I just love the San Rafael!

Here are the kids resting before they rappel off the cliff. Our trip had a little something for everyone. What a wonderful way to wrap up the camping season. I am sad it is over.
