FAREWELL, ELDER C

Another Elder from my side of the family has gone out! He got called to Arizona and is such a cute, good kid. I know he'll do wonderful. I'm sure my parents are up in heaven dancing the jitterbug in happiness!
Future Elders- cousins: M, M and C Man.
We had a good time in Price listening to him speak, eating at the luncheon, visiting with family and friends and saying good-bye.
Cousins: M, C Man, RM A, and the man of the hour- Elder C.

GORDON FAMILY REUNIONS ROCK!

My husband's family really does put on a great reunion. We have such a blast even though we do almost the same thing every year. It just never gets old.

BREAKFAST IN THE MOUNTAINS:
Princess P holds her new cousin! Aren't they pretty in pink??
When your mom gives you a tattoo...
Awesome A, Sister S and Elder D wait patiently for their breakfast.
We sure do love cousin time!
The guys gotta mountain bike down!
RED NECK SLIP-N-SLIDE:
One of the all time favorite traditions of the reunion.

Then, because going down on your bum gets boring, we have to go down standing up.

INDEPENDENCE DAY RIVER RUN & PARADE

We finally found a river that was flowing so we had to hurry and run it before they shut it off (it is an irrigation river they turn on and off for the farmers). The Sevier is small, but very fun! We took friends and family (whoever wanted to come) and ran the river twice.

Gearing up for the river.

Taking a break for lunch.
On the river...

After the river, we drove home and went to the evening parade in Manti. It is always a cute, fun one to attend and I love that they have it at night.

CHRISTENSEN REUNION 2016

I have a family that is very dedicated to reunions. Every other year my aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids all come to Ephraim to celebrate their heritage. They come from all over and stay for 3 or 4 days. I am impressed with their commitment. If it wasn't held in Utah, I honestly don't know how often we'd make it. I really do like my family though, so it isn't something I dread. I know, I'm lucky!
My family olympics team- Calmontahzona (we had people on our team from California, Montana, Utah and Arizona).
Traditional night at the church- eating pizza and this year we did family videos.
My boys ( the three on the left) and cousins.
We did a photo scavenger hunt. This is my team's pic from my grandpa's farm.
A rainy dutch oven dinner on the mountain- Philadephia Flat.
The olympic teams. This is only about half of our family, but a great showing none the less.

FAMILY HOME EVENING

My kids absolutely love having combined home evening with my husband's family. All the in-town Gordons get together every 2nd and 4th Monday night and rotate teaching lessons and organizing activities.
The cousins just love each other!
Playing baseball in the hay field.

SCANDINAVIAN FESTIVAL 2016

My family has a strong tradition of attending our town's Scandinavian Days over Memorial Day weekend. It is so ingrained that Big C has even quit doing anything else on that day. He actually enjoys my family and extended family and I am so glad because I really enjoy them too. I am very blessed to have amazing family!
Some of my kids (the middle 4) with friends and cousins.
All my kids were home this weekend too, so it was really fun to be with everyone!
Watching the parade for the last time from my sister's old house.
Princess P and her friend Miss K with the vikings!
Some of our family that was there. I have such great cousins! I just love them!
My sweetheart, ready to do the Vike on a Bike race he helped plan.
Elder D was the only other one to race this year.
After a nice day, with a brief rainstorm, BBQ turkey lunch, a little bit of shopping at the venders, visiting with all the friends and relatives we saw at the festival, we had the traditional BBQ at my house with all my family, cousins and friends that were in town. It was SO much fun! Can't wait for next year.

MOAB SPRING BREAK

We finally got around to taking our kids on a Spring Break trip. We went to Moab with Big C's brother and family. The kids had so much fun with cousins and we had a great time hiking, biking and camping. I love Moab and especially Arches National Park. If the wind and rain had cooperated a little better it would have been perfect, but we very nearly got blown away and the rain limited our activities at times. I do have to say it was a fun trip though.

EASTER WITHOUT MOM

I missed Easter this year. I left the day before and the day the Gordons do their big Easter shindig at the farm. It was sad that I missed, but I sure did have fun on my trip, so I can't be too sad. Thanks to my SIL I got so super cute pictures to share!

KNOTTY BEAR CABIN FOR NEW YEARS

Big C got online one morning a few weeks ago and reserved a cabin at Eagle Point for us for New Year's! It is kind of out of character for him, so I was very proud of him. (He's not one to vacation much and he's definitely opposed to spending money- at all).  We invited all of his family and most of them came. We crammed in and had a great few days together. It was such a fun way to end our Christmas Break.
Big C and our B and SIL.
We got there New Year's Day and spent the first two day skiing at Eagle Point. The snow was great and it wasn't too cold.
Me and Big C getting ready to go ski.
My boys! C Man, Elder D, Awesome A and Big C.
The girl cousins, skiing! Miss G, Miss A and Princess P.
Lots of the family!
Hot tubbing was a huge hit!
