FAMILY NIGHT ICE SKATING

Our little town decided to make an ice skating rink at one of the parks. It has been SO COLD they have not had any trouble with the water not freezing solid. We decided to brave the frigid weather and try it out for family night.
D and A put on their skates.
A family in town decided to open a skate rental business, so we didn't have to worry about finding skates. They are brand new and pretty nice. We reserved ours on Facebook and they had them ready for us.

S and her 'friend', D.
None of us has been skating very often, but it was still really fun. We picked it up pretty quick. Not that there wasn't some good falls, but as the saying goes, 'if you're not falling, you're not learning.'

Family Night Fun!
I have been driving by and didn't think it looked very big, but it was plenty big when we got on it. They don't have a zamboni or anything, so it is pretty choppy, but still a blast!

We went home after about 2 hours frozen to the bone and drank hot chocolate. We bought a family pass so our kids can go whenever they want now. A great outdoor winter activity!
