After our scary experience down in the San Rafael last weekend, Big C decided all the kids need to know how to use safety techniques in case they ever get into trouble. He set up some ropes in our backyard on our climbing post to teach them.

Princess P did really well. She got tired quickly though. It doesn't look easy. Big C was so proud.

She manipulated herself all the way to the top using a couple different ropes and knots. It is called a prusik knot, (click for link) but I won't pretend I know anything about it. The kids, however, are on their way to learning about self-rescue. I'm not going to lie, it gives me the chills...
